Google dance started again !

It looks like that Google has pressed the dreaded red button of  Pagerank update today. The name Google Dance has often been used to describe the index update of the Google search engine.  The Google search engine pulls its results from thousands of servers which are used by Google for economical reasons. Naturally, an index update cannot be proceeded on all those servers at the same time. One server after the other has to be updated with the new index. So during this process of pagerank update, some servers will show the new Pagerank, while some will display the old pagerank. Hence the term Google dance.
The last Google’s index update occurred  about 2 months ago. During an index update there is often significant movement in search results and Google shows new backward links for pages and it updates the Google pagerank of all websites indexed by it.
One simple way to verify the Google dance is to use the future pagerank tool at Seochat.com. You can access the tool here.
Another good tool for checking live PR at different Google datecenters is at

Google Success shows a uniform PR of 4 across major Google servers. 7 out of 10 my other websites showed a net increase in PR while only 2 lost the PR by 1.
Update: Matt Cutts confirmed the news of Google PR update on his blog here. He has also answered frequently asked questions about pagerank update here. That is indeed useful information.
